"This is a piece inspired by a trans woman in my life (name withheld) who has shaped my view of what it means to be a woman, defined not by her body or society’s views of her but by her ownership of her identity. She is not afraid to ask questions and defend anyone under oppression and lives by an inspiring sense of empowerment that I believe all women can look up to."
